The Beach of Santa Teresa

Casa Pelicano was built as a vacation house in early 2006 with the goal of bringing together casual Costa Rica style living with all of the comforts and safety standards common to North American constructions.

The 1800 sq ft home has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, an ample kitchen and living room area, covered parking, and a very comfortable terrace. The house is furnished with typical handmade Costa Rican wicker furniture.

The master bedroom offers a queen size bed, closet with a safe and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, closet space and a bathroom next door.

The kitchen is well equipped for cooking; it has a refrigerator with ice maker, a 4 burner gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, blender and all the necessary utensils. The living room is a very nice place to relax. You can read a book or watch TV in the oversized sofas.

The house has A/C and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and kitchen/living room areas. The terrace is the best spot in the house. It is surrounded by beautiful mature tropical gardens, on its own private 1/2 acre lot with colorful flowers, cactus, almond trees, palms and a grass lawn. There's an outdoor shower for rinsing off the beach sand, and an outdoor gas grill.

Casa Pelicano is one of three rental houses on a four acre gated complex in a residential neighborhood 1.2 km from the town center and right in the middle of Santa Teresa beach. The uncrowded white sand beach and glassy surf waves are a 150 yards or quick 2 minute walk from the terrace. You'll see beautiful sunsets right in front of the property, especially in the summer (Nov.- May). The surf in this area of Costa Rica is amazing. The water temperature is 80 degrees and more all year round. Santa Teresa is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all.

The property and neighbourhood of Casa Pelicano is private, secure and well maintained. There is also an ADT alarm system and a safe provided. The vacation rental includes cleaning, gardening and maintenance staff.
