La Sirena is a very safe and private 2-story house surrounded by a lush garden with all kind of bananas, avocados, mangos
and other tropical fruits.
On the first floor is the kitchen, a toilet room and a single bed. In front of the kitchen is a porch with table, sitting place and hammock.
A spiral staircase goes up to the bedroom on the second floor with double bed and bathroom with hot water shower.
The bedroom is fronted by a large, breezy terrace from where you look over farm land to the hills of Cabo Blanco. Fast wireless
internet is available everywhere on the property.
La Sirena is very cozy and unique. It has a distinctive artistic touch with gaudy artwork featuring whimsical forms incorporating gnarled
pieces of driftwood and shells. Claudia, the owner, is a Swiss artist who lives in Cabuya for 20 years. (See: www.tropicilluminations.com)
The house has a central location in Cabuya: 200 m down the small side road is the bakery, supermarket, book store,
and bus stop for busses to Cabo Blanco and Montezuma. From here it's another 100 m to the beach, and a fishermen place
where you get fresh sea food.
Next to the Sirena House is the El Chante vacation rental house of the same
owner. The Sirena and Chante house can be rented together, accommodating up to 8 people.
Guests can rent kayaks and mountain bikes.
There are also well-kept horses for advanced riders or guided horse tours (2 people max).
